Roy Blunt to appear at Harris-Stowe for Senate bid kickoff

This was reported earlier today, but I received a confirmation phone call just a couple hours ago. Like I said when Kit Bond bowed out, Blunt would be a formidable candidate in a general election, although there are others who may try to displace him in the GOP primary. (Jim Talent, his seemingly biggest competition, has indicated he won't run for the seat; everyone else is pretty much up in the air.)

So we have Robin Carnahan and Roy Blunt as the party-frontrunners, with a cast of Republicans and Democrats with time still to declare. The prologue continues.
