Is this airport "monument' worth over $400,000?

Via Urban Review. The total cost is projected to be $416k, but there's talk that it may get up to a half million dollars. Worth it?

Don't want to nitpick too much; I'm guessing the signage is part of the larger, $105 million Airport Experience renovation the airport just kicked off, which is scheduled to be completed in 2012. And of course, every airport needs a sign or two. But could this really be worth a half-mil? Really?
